Breweries and Bars to Celebrate At

St. Patrick’s Day Party at Athentic Brewing Company on March 15th at 11 a.m.

Come out to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Athentic! There will be plenty of food, drinks, and fun with traditional Irish food from Taste of the World lunches, live Celtic Pub Music, Irish dance performances and more. On top of that, try out the newly released Phelan Good, an Irish red ale! Dance the night away, drink til you drop, and make memories while honoring the spirit of Saint Patrick.

St. Patrick's Day Bash at Southern Brewing Company on March 16th, 4 p.m.

Who needs a pot of gold when you can have a pint of local beer? Spend the afternoon at Southern Brewing Company, where you can do a jig and grab a drink as you extend this Irish holiday into the weekend! Live music will take place throughout the event featuring Thick Lizzy, a Pogues tribute by the Knockouts, Green Flag Band plus a special dance performance by Carpenter Academy of Irish Dance! Tickets are $10 and your first pint of beer is included in the ticket price! Free for leprechauns 20 and under. 

Keepin’ it Green and Brew-tiful St. Patrick's Day Event at Terrapin Beer Co. on March 17th, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Celebrate all things Green and Brew-tiful with Terrapin Beer Co! With a costume contest, games, raffles, prizes, and more, this is the perfect event for the whole family. Along with that, funds will go directly to KACCB to fill the loop with beautiful golden daffodils and crape myrtles. There will be dinner and pints available for sale and DJ LaDarius Thomas will play music that will have you doing the jig across the dance floor! This event is presented by Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful

Not feeling alcohol for St. Patty’s Day? No worries! The holiday can still sham-ROCK in Athens! Go green with a Leprechaun latte from Jittery Joe's!!

Trying to find some more cool St. Patrick's Day events? Here they are!

St. Paddy's Day Dinner and a Show Featuring Irish Music by Fawney Rig at Hendershot's on March 17th, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Fawney Rig is an Irish folk-rock project with classic Irish tunes, Celtic classics, jigs, ballads and more! It's a performance that can't be missed! Dinner will be included and doors open at 5:30 for the 6 p.m. show and 7:30 for the 8 p.m. show. The menu will include items such as Corned Beef and Cabbage w/ New Potatoes and Baby Carrots, Potato and Leek Egg Bake, Cucumber-Mint Soup, and other delicacies.

St. Patrick's Day Event at reBlossom Parent & Child Shop on March 17th, 12 p.m.- 4 p.m.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with crafts, a scavenger hunt, and more cool activities! Come out to reBlossom Parent & Child Shop to have fun with the whole family!

The Shamrock Shuffle at Paloma Park on March 17th (live music starting at 4 p.m.)

The inaugural Shamrock Shuffle is a one of a kind event! Starting off in Paloma Park, where there will be live music at 4 and then the crawl will start. You'll have the opportunity to collect "lucky charms" from Hospitality South bar locations. Those who complete the whole route will be entered in a raffle to win the "pot o' gold". Not only that, but there will be plenty of music, cocktails, and fun to go around!

Donner Party plays the Pogues at The Globe on March 17th

This event will have a group of former and current Globe staff that play the Pogues tribute shows, serving as a toast to the legendary Shane Macgowan.
